Well, thanks to a friend, [personal profile] rosalita I've created this account. I'll be looking around for awhile and then I suppose posting more as time goes on and as I figure out how to bring in posts from LJ which I've heard is possible. Not sure what is going on around here yet, but it's either this or start twittering.

Today my puppy, Sasha, chewed up my glasses. They don't fit as well as they did, the frames are scratchy behind my ears and the lenses are messed up by little tooth marks too. I fell asleep on the couch and she got to them. I can see out of them in the middle of the lenses, at least. My son's wedding is in 3 weeks and things are getting tense. And I'm behind in getting my zine up and posted to its LJ location. Typical.

I've decided to work harder on not being depressed or stressed and to be more positive about my life. Now if I can just remember to do it....

Jack chewed the earpiece off one of the arms of my glasses. I don't know what is wrong with that cat.

(my stupid school server will let me read LJ -- if I jump through the hoops -- but not comment)

Crossposting is a feature that only works *from* DW *to* LJ, not the other way. They developed it to make DW more attractive to users of other platforms.

If you use a client, like Semagic, you *may* be able to tell it to post to both at once, but you'll have to ask someone who uses them; I don't.

Of course, trying to crosspost a long story wouldn't work, 'cause it wouldn't fit in LJ. What I did was -- [a] story post without crossposting. Then [b] separate announcement post with link to story, posted in DW and crossposted to LJ.

Forgot to say -- this is months too late -- but my pup once chewed my glasses earpiece, too. If it's still scratchy behind the ears, here's how I solved it.

I got an emery board or file, and 'sanded' the plastic smooth. Then I cleaned it with alcohol to remove any body oils, and coated it with clear fingernail polish. Scratchiness gone!
